At its inauguration, SAMYRAD offers a dynamic platform for researchers, EdTech professionals, policymakers, industry representatives, and students to showcase their work, disseminate findings, exchange innovative ideas, and forge lasting partnerships in policy, academia, and industry. SAMYRAD cultivates impactful connections between local and international communities, making meaningful contributions to the global conversation on advancing AI in education.
SAMYRAD 2026 Conference Theme: Intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Education. The Call for Papers is now open to the global community.
We accept full papers, short papers, and work-in-progress submissions across all tracks, in addition to workshop proposals. Submissions may include qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods studies; conceptual papers; case studies; new educational tools; review articles; and work in progress.
SAMYRAD 2026 offers multiple publication pathways to ensure inclusivity, academic rigor, and wide dissemination of scholarly work.
All abstracts that are peer-reviewed and accepted by the conference will be published in the SAMYRAD Abstract Book of Proceedings.
This volume will carry ISSN and ISBN identifiers, and each abstract will be assigned a DOI to ensure long-term discoverability and citation within scholarly databases.
Double-blind peer-reviewed full papers accepted by the Editorial Committee will be published in the SAMYRAD Full Papers Book of Proceedings.
This publication will also carry ISSN and ISBN identifiers, and each article will be assigned a DOI, ensuring visibility, traceability, and academic indexing.
A select number of high-quality full papers (approximately 30%), meeting IEEE’s technical and ethical standards, will be recommended for inclusion in the official IEEE-published proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore.
These papers will receive IEEE DOIs and will be indexed through Scopus, subject to IEEE’s final approval and quality control processes.
Following the conference, the Editorial Team will shortlist a limited number of outstanding papers from the entire submission pool.
Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit an extended version of their work to partner journals associated with the conference.
Acceptance of this invitation is entirely optional and subject to each journal’s independent peer-review process.
To honor excellence and innovation in research and practice, SAMYRAD 2026 will recognize outstanding contributions presented during the conference through three distinctions:
These awards celebrate the talent, rigor, and creativity of the SAMYRAD community, highlighting the transformative ideas shaping the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Education.
Accepted articles in this conference may be invited to submit an extended version of their work to the following journals for possible inclusion in a special issue:
Invitations will be extended after the event takes place and the proceedings have been published in IEEE Xplore.
We invite authors to submit a Structured Abstract for one of the following submission types: Full Paper, Short Paper, or Work-in-Progress Paper. Submissions should report original research, either theoretical or applied, and must be uploaded via the CONFTOOL online system. Abstracts must follow the official SAMYRAD template and adhere to all formatting guidelines.
Upon acceptance of the abstract, authors are expected to submit a complete Manuscript corresponding to their selected paper type:
Full Papers
Up to 8 pages (including references). These should present completed studies with defined findings and implications. Full Papers are expected to demonstrate methodological rigor and substantial contribution to the field.
Short Papers
Limited to 5 pages (including references). These should present completed studies in a more concise format, still offering clear findings, methodological clarity, and relevance to the SAMYRAD community.
Work-in-Progress Papers
Limited to 3 pages (including references). These should describe ongoing work, pilot studies, or early-stage projects with preliminary findings and clear future research directions.
Authors with accepted abstracts who proceed to submit a Manuscript are required to complete three (3) peer reviews for the SAMYRAD Conference. Active participation in the peer-review process is mandatory. To volunteer as a reviewer, please complete the SAMYRAD 2026 Reviewer Interest Form below:
The Technical Program Committee will review all submissions and issue Accept/Reject decisions on Friday, June 5, 2026. Please note that this date may shift slightly in case of deadline extensions or review delays. Kindly refrain from contacting conference staff regarding paper status before this date.
Authors of accepted papers must upload their Final Camera-Ready Manuscript by July 15, 2026. Before uploading, the following requirements must be met:
SAMYRAD 2026 upholds the highest standards of academic integrity. Authors are welcome to use AI tools strictly for language editing, grammar correction, text polishing, or improving clarity. These forms of AI-assisted writing are acceptable as long as they do not contribute to the intellectual substance of the work.
However, the generation of text, arguments, ideas, analysis, citations, or data by AI tools is strictly prohibited.
All conceptual contributions, critical thinking, interpretations, and the intellectual heavy lifting must be entirely the authors’ own.
If AI tools were used in any capacity, authors must clearly disclose this in the Acknowledgements section of their manuscript, specifying the tool and purpose (e.g., “Used ChatGPT for language editing”).
SAMYRAD 2026 employs multiple detection mechanisms, including checks for:
Any manuscript found to contain AI-generated intellectual content, undisclosed AI use, or fabricated references will be:
No exceptions will be made. Authors are responsible for ensuring that all ideas, analyses, arguments, and academic contributions originate from their own expertise and research.
